Created a printed and digital company brochure that was archived within the British Library.
Project Overview:
Brief: To design a company’s first brochure for an VR/AR agency to be used internally or for clients and investors along with the general public via exhibitions and events.
Objective: Encapsulate the brand story, their services and key products clearly in an non conventional but compact ‘standard US comicbook’ format and a digital PDF deliverable.
Constraints: Unusual page proportions, challenging narrative as format is tall and tight.
Design Challenge:
Balancing lots of content, this includes testimonials, services, case studies and more.
Limited space because of format so hierarchy will need to be divided strategically.
To keep Brand consistency, legibility, visual flow across spreads, not too text heavy.
Research and Brand Analysis:
The company relied heavily on presentations previously so already had some content.
Previous branding was inconsistent on all touchpoints, no rules in colour or typography.
No similar competitors but looked into comicbook pages to get inspiration textual layouts
Design Process: (Artworking and Layout Process)
For the grid and structure I had solemnly used InDesign for total layout setup. My typography choices included font families and also trying to keep readability within a compact format with the line length while creating visuals to avoid any clutter.
Outcome and Feedback:
The brochure was used for client meetings, events, exhibitions, content used for presentations, along with the digital version that is now achieved in the British Library.
Stakeholder and client feedback surprised and appreciated that the AR/VR company now has a physical takeaway copy, this gave it a more premium feel.
Supported the client’s achievement to obtain an honorary fellowship from an university.
Learnings and Reflections:
I learned how to carefully storytell with consistency and legibility when working with an unconventional format limiting creativity and keeping within strict boundaries.
Without any prior branding guidelines this gave me flexibility when working with content.
This project has helped me improve my preparation of content, placement and foresight within having constraints of designing within a challenging format. To be more flexible in my approach and give myself enough choices to be creative within the constraints of layout boundaries.

Objective: Responsible in creating new product development 2D/3D mockups visuals utilising the USB technology. Sometimes physical mockups were created for clients but there was constraints especially on the limited resources for materials when producing physical mockups.
Design Challenge:
Visuals need to be consistent and designed closely with company’s current branding.
Multiple steps visuals require clear and coherent supporting explanations and caption.
Working towards tight deadlines for client specific presentations so templates are made.
Research and Brand Analysis:
Collected a range of visual branding assets online for each client to create the mockup.
Visual direction on trying to create the mood and tone that is related to the brand/event.
Deciding what current brand information can be included/needed for the USB Card.
Design Process: (Mockup process)
Usually to make rough sketch of the deliverable USB format (direct mailer, keyring etc).
Looking at the current branding and try to match presentation and mockup consistently.
Creating shade and depth to make the mockup realistic when onscreen.
Outcome and Feedback:
Created artwork templates that was simple to create specific client mockups quickly.
COO was pleased how the mockups are a potential highlight towards presentations.
Learnings and Reflections:
Learning how to prepare guidelines for quick physical and visual mockups for clients.
It supported the narrative and flow of documents that gave professionalism for a startup.
This ongoing artworking projects helped my improve my preparation of drag and drop design into ready templates that was both available for onscreen or physical mockup deliverables.
